Re: A glass of red wine, an evening in with the Moog LP
Wow it’s been 14 years since I last posted! Since then I’ve quit drinking. And the Moog lineup has totally changed! Programming the Little Phatty as a relaxation exercise seems kind of weird. My one’s been all around the world a few times in planes and tour buses, had the knobs replaced four times,...

Re: Does the Sub Phatty have a softer side?
Turn down the osc mixer volume and you're in butter land. It's designed to be able to overdrive (without the extra od circuit), and unfortunately a lot of people tend to crank it to 10 for the demos. It can SO get polite if you want it to.

Re: "Oscillators" Pot malfunctioning
I agree with the above comment, this sounds like you've caused some issues ala a MIDI feedback loop. Disconnect all your MIDI connections, restart the SP, if it still seems to persist, you probably need to follow the factory reset steps.

Re: No sound but receiving midi
Disabling Local Control = Removing the sound generator from the MIDI device. It is ON by default and shouldn't be turned off unless you are planning on using your LP exclusively as a MIDI controller.

Re: Slim Phatty / Minitaur Output Volume
It is indeed a lot quieter. I agree with much of Voltor07's comments. Another thing to consider is that you've got OD on the Slim, which will definitely help things get louder. My preamp is usually set at +25db for the SP to accommodate for the lower sound output, but I often need to gain stage down...

Re: My Slim Phatty has crashed
Definitely sounds like a midi feedback loop nerfed it. Have you tried a factory reset yet? I did that on mine for a similar issue and that fixed it. You might need to try a couple times if the initial attempt for reset fails, but it's a lot cheaper than getting a debugger.

Re: little phatty stage 2 recording in cubase 6.5
Assar touched on what I think it is: Sounds like you might have a live mixer in the sound card that is playing the audio on top of you monitoring it in Cubase (which monitors at project latency speed), creating a slightly delayed/phasey playback sound. Click on the little speaker icon on the track y...

Re: The Bernie Worrell Phatty?
Moog will do all sorts of awesome custom work for ya if you get in touch with them and have the cash to make it happen. :) Yup. Dunno if they charge more for labor now, but custom work was done at $80 per hour last time I had custom work done. Not including parts, mind you. I'm not sure if prices h...

Re: My Slim Phatty needs a partner.
Hey man, spilling over from GS I see. :) DSI Tetra might be a good choice if you don't mind stretching that budget a little and editing with the software editor. It's a great companion polysynth and sounds a lot different with it's curtis filters than moog. If you can be patient and wait til the end...

Re: iPad sequence minitaur. How?
iPad to iPad camera kit to USB into minitaur. Easy as that. The phaedra recognized it right away. I was quite pleasing to read. MOOG MINITAUR in the midi devices list. Awesome! I'm definitely going to have to try this out. Would love to do the same w/ my SEM (will have to figure out the l...

Re: $12.99 Phatty/Voyager Tuner Solution
this is why Tom Oberheim played a blinder by including an A440 tone on my lovely SEM Pro...quick tune up of the SEM, my Voyager & Dark Energy in a flash. Moog -take note  My only wish is that the a440 tone was a little louder at full volume, but agreed it is SUCH a useful feature to have ...

Re: $12.99 Phatty/Voyager Tuner Solution
Very cool hardware tuner option!
I use my phone and this tuner app:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cleartun ... 99607?mt=8
I realize it's not an option for everyone but it works great no extra stuff needed.

Re: iPad sequence minitaur. How?
This is badass! What did you use for the interface exactly? What's your signal path setup look like? Is this just camera connection kit to usb to minitaur, or irig, or something else? I've been toying around quite a bit with wireless MIDI but haven't quite figured out how to get everything going wit...
