Well, I'll call the UK suppliers (Turnkey) tomorrow and I'll be well pissed-off if the upgrade is not available in the UK because of this legal bullshit - I've already had to put up with the lack of a Moog badge on my machine and a crazy manual with every instance of the word 'Moog' censored!! F@#ki...

Thanks theglyph, I'll call Turnkey in the UK and see how much it costs - it'll be the usual UK dollar/sterling rip-off I bet! I find a lot of the presets, especially the AE ones a bit too weird for my taste - I generally prefer the classic moog sounds (OK, maybe I'm a bit boring here...). Good luck ...

Hey, success! I reloaded the factory patches as suggested and everything's fine again - phew! For some reason my 'Zon.sys' file, which has the same factory patches, was screwing up the tuning when loaded from my librarian. The other .sys files seem to load sounds OK, unless I load them after the dod...

Thanks Rudi....however... I have only been using presets, though how do I do a factory reset? (can't see it in the manual). What I have done is reloaded the original factory patches over MIDI (Sys Ex file) but I still have the same problem where I have to use the fine tune knob to tune individual so...

Thanks guys, but I have 'recalibrated' the pitch wheel and my problem persists! Basically, I have to retune (using the fine tune knob) every sound individually each time I change a patch and I don't remember this always being the case. I like to play my Moog as a solo synth over the top of my Triton...

Thanks for the reply MC...hmm...I did do that wheel tweak a while back when I first upgraded the OS and didn't notice the problem until some time later, but perhaps I have to go back there again.

I'll give it a go (unless anyone else has another suggestion?).

Tuning problem with Voyager Performer - Help appreciated!

Hey Guys....can anyone sort out this annoying problem I have? (which, incidentally, wasn't there when I first got the machine, i.e. before I upgraded the OS several times). Whenever I call up a patch/sound, it is never at 'concert pitch' and I have to spend time using the fine tune knob, which is no...

OK, here's what I've found and it ain't too complicated: I just go into edit mode and select TS Destinations, choose X,Y or A and enter the MIDI CC value on the second line that corresponds to the parameter (e.g. Filter Cut-off, Filter Spacing, etc) that is entered in the top line. So, if the top li...

Enjoy your new toy! For what it's worth, I think the black AE version looked fairly crap and that the best look is the walnut stain. I think all the blue lights of the AE version look a bit gimmicky and detract from the 'classic' Moog analogue synth look. Unless you're on stage, perhaps. That said, ...

Thanks for the words of understanding & encouragement! I'm going to give it a try. I'm stepping out of the comfort zone, I'm opening the manual...God, it's scary, but I know I can do it...(I'll get back to you if I can't).

Cheers

You get confused? Spare a thought for poor folks like me! Maybe it's all in the manual. I just want to make (and record) friggin' music and, significantly, I'm not the least bit interested.... (joke)

Thanks Qwave. I was hoping there was a way to do it that didn't involve getting into CCs,LSBs & MSBs which is all getting way too boffiny for my humble abilities (actually many years ago when my brain was sharper I used to get into this stuff - maybe I just have to marshall my few remaining brai...

Touch Screen Recording

Hi guys

I'm no synthesizer or MIDI guru and this subject may have either come up before or be dead obvious to everyone but me, but can anyone tell me how I can record my performance on the Voyager touch screen into my MIDI sequencer (Cubase SX)?

Thanks!

Thanks, Monads. Having (finally) successfully tracked down and loaded OS 2.0 and turned the MIDI functions on, I am now a happy little bunny with 4 sets of presets to play with! New improved OS 2.1 is due out next week which is probably why OS 2.0's been taken off (I got this from Moog). Cheers John
