Re: Help with sending midi to phatty

If you plug in headpohnes in you Phatty, does it play?
(=notes are recieved)
If so, the problem is the audio back to you computer.
If not, start with the midi issue.

Re: slim phatty upgrade problem....

And you have chosen the right pc/mac midi-output to send it to, before you send it?
(I just use pc so I have no idea how mac works)

Re: Tribute Noisy LFO

Does anyone know why this porblem exists? The circuitry behind it? I'd be interested to know as a hobby DIY circuit builder. Was it remedied with the II and slim phatty? I assume it was...wonder how. I don't know. You could ask Amos, I am sure he would (not!) love to see that old discussion coming ...

Re: Tribute Noisy LFO

Is it the Tribute hiss-noise problem that was widely discussed here some years ago?

If you turn off the EGR Matrix (under System Utilities in 3.1), does it go away then?
If so, you have to live with it. It is a design problem that Moog won't correct.

Re: Phat chimes

I don't think Keyboard Tracking is useful... It is useful if you want to tune the self oscillating filter resonance tone and make it payable with the keyboard. Use Keyboard tracking to make the tone spread properly (the right distance between tones, try by playing octaves) and then tune to the righ...

Re: Little Phatty vs. Slim Phatty

One reason CAN be that they are slightly different tuned (calibrated), so that the OSC1/2 detune in a preset in one Phatty differs from the detune in another. Have you tried to adjust the OSC 2 Freq to see if you can fix it? That is just one example of why a preset can sound slightly different betwe...

Re: Little Phatty & Guitar Pedals - Testing

Interesting!

I have an old Line6 POD 2.0 I sometimes run my LP through. Several effects and amp/cabinet simulations.
It's a great additional companion for the LP!

Re: Mod+Pitch wheel DIY project.

I have a large master keyboard without wheels. And I have searched for some external wheel-unit with midi-out, but never found one.

If I build this, am I home then???

Sounds good. It will propably work well for studio situations but less good live.
