What's your favorite "moog band"?

It doesn't matter if they prominently feature moog's or just use it on a few tracks...but there's alot of bands out there that use 'em...
My favorite "moog band" is The Hippos!
What's yours?

who wants to do some synth trading?

I know this is a long shot, but I own two MG-1's and I plan on fixing one of them up and/or buy the necessary parts to fix it. Might anyone wish to trade a microKorg, a Rogue or Prodigy for an MG-1 that currently works at 70%. I know, I'm an idiot for even posting this. Couldn't hurt though. punksur...

Moog MG-1

who here owns one?
I love mine, it has simplicity but with a great phat sound. I don't think I'll ever need any other kind of moog except for maybe a prodigy.

oh boy...

well, on the inside they placed these thin foam rubber sheets that were used to capture dust that fell in between the sliders and knobs and whatnot and keeps it from getting to the circuit board. The only problem is that after 22 years, it begins to decompose and if you press down on it, it turns in...

all moogs have that same phat analog sound. Somewhere along the lines, you can get a similar sound from all of them. No moog I've seen or played has been a disappointment (unless it was a broken P.O.S.)...the voyager, the prodigy, the rogue and my MG-1 all sound cool. Honestly what it all boils down...

The official MG-1 thread

hey, hopefully people will keep this thread going, here we can talk about problems we may have encountered with this little devil, that awesome black goo on the inside, trade sound patches, give advice, talk about other musicians that use the MG-1 and basically just shoot the bleep about this prize ...

The Moog MG-1 OOOOH YEAAA!

Hey, I'm new to the world of moogs, but I just got my first one. I have an old MG-1 and I love it. The one i have right now has 2 black keys that don't function and the detune slider is dead...other than that, after i cleaned it out and got rid of all the black gunk, the sliders all seem a bit scrat...
