RIP - all my prayers go to Bob and his family.
Can't find more senseful words right now - I feel terrible...

It seems the earlier the better but watch out for oscillator drift; the later models are still sounding awesome and are more reliable.

When I was only 7 or 8 years old I saw a live performance from a guy playing a weird musical thing called "Minimoog" - that made me start piano lessons and it was the beginning of my passion for synthesizers.

I own a Memorymoog even with L.A.M.M., and I had a Minimoog but unfortunately I sold it years ago (stupid me - I'm defintely going to rebuy one later). But from acquainted and friend's studio's I have experience with almost all MOOG models except the modulars.

Useful. I also think its interesting to read manuals for synths you don't own. Exactly - many people don't like manuals but imho they can be a very great source of info. And lots of those manuals explain what a more advanced feature exactly does with your sound - not only technically but also with ...

The Rogue gives you a more distorted sound then the Prodigy. If you look for a sound closer to the minimoog, then choose the Prodigy. Exactly. I'd go for a Prodigy but it's still your choice of course - good luck anyway !! PS: and after all you still can't go wrong; they're both good MOOG synths wi...

I'd say go Memorymoog but with the L.A.M.M. modification - this modification by Rudi Linhard is expensive but imho required; it makes your Memorymoog completely stable (major problem with non-modified Memorymoogs, even with the Memorymoog+), adds full (!) MIDI control, a filter input plug, etc... Th...
