oh sorry one more thing. does a gate signal have pitch info? or is it strictly just note on and off?

also, will a sequencer produce pitch and sequence itself? i read that they have an internal osc which controls the speed of the rhythmic steping but does this osc also produce pitch?

I was asking this because i'm also interested in getting a small modular synth from either Modcan or synth.com. I'm just trying to think what other modules would be best to go along with a sequencer. i've already got the 101, 102, 104 and 105 and the cp251. are the drivers on the arturia basically v...

so how exactly does a sequencer work?

so how exactly does an analog sequencer get it's pitch? I've got a copy of Arturia's Moog Modular software and have been trying to figure out how all this crazy patching works. when i open up some of the preset sequences i don't see any patching on the sequencer. i had always assumed that each step ...

does anyone even make an analog sequencer that has an in and out for each channel? i don't know if i've ever seen one. the modcan and the synth.com both only have gate out for each channel

have you seen the modcan sequencer? that looks pretty sweet

ok good. i'm totally having the same problem. not a whining from the 101 but a fair bit of static and hum. also my murf sometimes makes some weird noises. what kind of adapters do you use now? do you also use a power distributor? does that help?

hmm if it was fool proof i might but these things are too expensive i'm too scared of totally screwing it up. i plugged the wrong power supply in my murf once and it started making some very strange noises. almost gave me a heart attack. hmm adding 8 outputs to a murf. you would almost have to put i...

but do you know for sure that the tap input will accept a gate signal? i checked the manual and couldn't find a reference to this.

man it's too bad that the 8 envelope generators don't have cv outs.

nevermind i'm a goof. i just saw it. but i still don't understand how you can control the 102's frequency and 101's cutoff by going into the attenuators. or do you mean the attenuators on the mixer?

looks very cool. i'm trying to imagine what this would sound like with guitar, i guess the oscillator would sound like a tremolo? what about an adsr. i didn't think you could put an instrument through an adsr, i thought it only accepted a gate. let alone what they would both sound like together.
