Noise sound compared to Voyager?

Post by insomniyack » Tue Mar 25, 2008 12:28 pm

I just borrowed a Minimoog Voyager (the newer synth that came out a few years ago) and I LOVE the way the noise (as in white noise) sounds on it...it really gives it that classic old analog feel. I was just wondering how the noise on the LP compares? Does it sound nice and warm or is it digital sounding? Thanks!

The LP has no noise source... at least not in the audio path. You can choose noise as a modulator. Used on the filter cutoff or on th osc frequency, it can sound somewhat similar to a white noise audio source... But still different.

You can add noise from a cp 251, as well as do many other things
